Stronger

Do you respond  to the test on Face Book that analyze your name? I do, on occasion; sometimes I post them, sometimes I don’t. Yesterday I found that my personal anthem is Stronger by Kelly Clarkson. I’m a fan of Kelly’s and enjoy her music. This particular song express emotions that fit my story.

I love Monday’s; Ronovan’s Haiku Challenge and Monday’s Music .  Martha is running errands and having lunch out. I’ll post her two haiku upon her return.

These two I proudly offer as my contribution.

I enjoy Kevin Spacey’s talent as an actor. I wouldn’t call myself a fanatic. I’m fanatic about music, is a more accurate statement. I really get excited when I discover someone has a talent for music or plays an instrument. Just by happenstance I discovered Kevin’s ability with the harmonica, and his wicked raspy voice. This was filmed November 19, 2014 in a celebration with Billy Joel when he was honored with the Library Of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular song.

Grease

You won’t find a sociological discussion here of how the musical
Grease captures a pivotal moment for the sexual revolution. I’m happy to enjoy the music and pass a few basic facts on to you.

Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey are co-creators. Grease had its Broadway première in 1972, and the public responded in appreciation with the record as the longest-running show in the history of Broadway. Later  John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John starred in the movie version. Here are some clips from the highest-grossing movie musical ever.

I’m dancing and grooving.

Rewind 2014 for Monday’s Music

Maybe some of you hipsters, 20 something, generation Millennials, 1980-2000, will identify with the music references in this YouTube rewind. If you’re inspired, you will explain it to the Silent generation, 1925-1942 (me), and the Baby Boomers, 1943-1964, in the comment section
