Life Purpose

Colleen invites us to participate in sharing a quote that impressed us this week on Writer’s Quote Wednesday.

When I read this quote from Mark Twain/Samuel Clemons, I thought about stages of my life and when I thought I knew what my purpose was. I was educated for one thing, teaching, but wanted more as time past. I wanted to specialize in librarianship.

I see that teaching was what I was born to do. I wasn’t limited by subject, age or site. I’ve taught children in public school and private school of all ages and grades; I’ve taught young adults in church; and I’ve taught classes to prepare students for librarianship at the college level.

1,000 Years is an exclusive single from Sincerely, Iris loosely based on the life of Mark Twain.
