I’m Going Home

The group who recorded I’m Going Home for the movie Cold Mountain is from Liberty Baptist Church in Henagar, Alabama, home of the Sacred Harp singing for 110 years.

These aren’t the songs of Protestant churches, “Sacred Harp is a whole other thing…This is full-body, shout-it-out singing. The harmonies are stark and haunting — raw, even. In Sacred Harp, you don’t want a sweet sound.”
