The Fisherman

This is day two for the Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge. Jane Patterson Basil is my challenger. Click on her name to read the shape poem for her day four post.

mikes-big-fish

There’s a guy I know that fishes

He catches more that he wishes

His luck is phenomenal

Hauls them by the barrowful

Trout, catfish, bass, and perches

This John Michael Haynes, my youngest son. He’s the sportsman of the family. I have a natural affinity with him.  He’s married to Jodee, and they live in Seal Beach, California with their black Lab, Coal.

The Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge rules require you to post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or simply a short paragraph – it’s entirely up to you.

Then each day, nominate another blogger to carry on this challenge.

Accepting the challenge is entirely up to the person nominated, it is not a command. Today, I’m inviting Maria Brinkely. Marie lives in Queensland where she practices her art in sketches, photographs and poetry.

  2. Great photo and poem, Meredith. Do you have a favourite fish to eat? Here in Queensland we like Barramundi (wild caught of course) and my favourite of all is Mud Crab.

Thanks so much for nominating me for this challenge. I am delighted to accept and will have to put on my thinking cap now …..
Let’s see what I can come up with. 😊
    Cheers,
    Maria
