I’m Parched

Are you thirsty? You haven’t found anything to satisfy that deep soul thirst. You turn this way; you try that new philosophy; the thirst continues and intensifies. Read what the Psalmist says.

Psalm 42:1-3

For the sons of Kora.

As the deer longs for streams of water,
so my soul longs for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, the living God.
When can I enter and see the face of God?

Over smooth water, cool water, turbulent water, water mixed with my tears, I’ve found my strength in the truth of my faith. God doesn’t promise an untroubled life without strife, but he promises comfort and support as I’m in the middle of the rapids of life or the calm streams, and a home with him when at last my ship reaches the other side of Jordan’s stormy banks.

I pray that you’ll soon be able to sing along with this beautiful  song and know that your thirst is satisfied.
