Equivocate

I equivocate. In fact, I hold the prize for always equivocating. Equivocate means to use ambiguous or unclear expressions, usually to avoid commitment. I drive some folks nuts.

I’ve analyzed my insane habit and realize I’m under the mistaken conclusion that if I don’t make a decision, the other party involved will. They get to choose what they want. Does this make me a martyr? It’s better to just say what I want, and hang the consequences.
