In 1966 a television show, Truth or Consequences, challenged contestants to answer a trivia question correctly before “Beulah the Buzzer” sounded. If the contestant could not complete the “Truth” part, there would be “Consequences,” usually a zany and embarrassing stunt.
I’ve learned that the choices I make as I travel my time line carry consequences. It’s a principle of for every action there is a reaction. I’m taking the liberty to apply Newton’s law of motion. This concept is addressed in Galatians 6:7-8 (NASB) “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”
Every minute of every day we make choices. As we mature we learn, by trial and error, to consider the choices we make. Consider carefully what you will do. The errors I’ve made led to trial, not just for me, but for the one’s I love the most.
Study. Think. Learn. Pray. Act in obedience to His instructions.
