Experience is a good teacher. Life lessons learned over a period of years can come through hard-knocks, diligent study and careful observation. However, some might find themselves stuck in repeating history simply by refusing to jump off the merry-go-round. Their fear keeps them in the tight circle of mind-numbing fear, rebellion or perhaps the jaws of depression.
“Wisdom doesn’t necessarily come with age. Sometimes age just shows up all by itself.”~Tom Wilson I’ve met plenty of young women who had much wisdom to offer. They often have found the truth in Bible teaching in circles of women of faith. Here the older women in these circles have a generosity of spirit allows them to share and mentor.
C. S. Lewis said,”The next best thing to being wise oneself is to live in a circle of those who are.” Every circle usually has a mix of women who are at various stages of growth. I’ve discovered a common theme in my circles is the willingness of members to share their hope, strength and courage.
If you’re floundering in a self-made sea of despair, I recommend that you find a circle of women who are mature in God’s wisdom. They are more precious than silver or gold.
