We’re in the beginning of a change of seasons. Fall in California is not the splendid show of turning leaves, just a slight drop in temperature. We expect seasonal changes. Other things we change are our clothes, hair styles, nail polish, shoes, moods, furniture arrangement, diets; these are easy changes for the most part. Just when you think you have something nailed down, and it won’t change, WHAM, it does. The unthinkable happens. Your life shatters like a crystal goblet dropped to a stone floor. When that happens and I’m picking up the pieces, I call out to God and place the broken fragments into His hands. He is the constant in my life. He is the great physician, the restorer, the redeemer.
